DAY 01 : Arrival Bombay
A warm welcome awaits you at Bombay International Airport by New Age representative and you are transferred to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02: Bombay
Morning visit to Elephanta, across the Harbor is a cluster of 6th and 8th century rock cut caves of Elephanta, which you approach by motor launch. Afternoon sightseeing tour incorporates visit to the Prince of Wales Museum to see its extensive collection of 18th and 19th century miniatures paintings, carved ivory and Nepalese and Tibetan art. Also visit the Gateway of India overlooking the harbor and the Dhobi Ghat, the outdoor laundry. Drive up Malabar Hill to visit the Hanging Gardens. Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 03 : Bombay - Aurangabad ( By Air)
Morning is free for independent activities. Evening you will be transferred to airport, to connect flight for Aurangabad. On arrival at Aurangabad, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 04 : Aurangabad
Morning you have a tour of Ellora Caves - another set of elaborate carvings created from living rock. Work started on the Ellora caves in the seventh century AD. Here 2000 years old distinct group of temples relate the story of the evolution of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. The Buddhist and Jain caves in this area are ornately carved, yet seem quiet and meditative, whereas the Hindu caves are filled with a divine energy and power. The most impressive and majestic creation is the Kailasa Temple, a full-sized freestanding temple flanked by elephants carved out of solid rock. Pillars, podiums, spires and towers combine to produce an awe-inspiring representation of Shiva's Himalayan abode. Afternoon is free. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05 : Aurangabad
This full day's excursion takes you to Ajanta's Buddhist cave chaityas (chapels) and viharas (monasteries), where subterranean statuary and world famous murals - miraculously preserved in the twilight world of the caverns for 2000 years - present a vidid panorama of the life and legends of the Buddha. Born Prince Siddhartha, his 'great renunciation' led him on the exemplary spiritual pilgrimage so memorably depicted here; away from the endless cycle of India's most impressive archaeological sites. Here Buddhist art attained the peak. There are 29 rock-hewn caves, where both the facade and interior chambers are decorated with frescoes and the chapels are so constructed that a flood of natural light pour into them at various times during the day. DAY 06 : Aurangabad - Indore (402 kms.)
Morning proceed by surface to Indore. On arrival in Indore, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 07 : Indore - Bhopal (230 kms.)
Indore is called the "Mini Mumbai" of India. Indore is the gateway to Ujjain and Omkareshwar, both having ancient Hindu temples. Morning city tour of Indore. Afternoon drive to Bhopal. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 08 : Bhopal - Khajuraho (383 kms.)
Madhya Pradesh has an illustrious past, forested sanctuaries, temple towns and fortified settlements. Bhopal, its capital, a modern city with two lakes, is situated against the background of hills that give it a salubrious climate. Morning city tour of Bhopal. Afternoon proceed by surface to Khajuraho. On arrival in Khajuraho, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 09 : Khajuraho
The sculptures in the temples of Khajuraho are enshrined in wall niches. Provocative maidens, dancers, musicians and embracing couples are adorned within the temples, which are by themselves, masterpieces of Indian Art. Discover the temples in your city tour. Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 10 : Khajuraho - Orchha - Gwalior (275 kms.)
Morning proceed by surface to Gwalior. Enroute visit Orchha. On arrival in Gwalior check-in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Gwalior. Gwalior's colorful history, going back to the 8th century, is a mosaic of the Rajput clans of the Pratihasas, Kachwahas and Tomars, each leaving their marks on the city's magnificent monuments. A trip to Gwalior is incomplete without a visit to the fort, Scindia Palace and the tombs of Ghaus Mohammed and Tansen. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 11 : Gwalior - Agra (118 kms.)
Morning proceed by surface to Agra. On arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel. Agra with its laid - back life style and its immense wealth of architecture, handcrafts and jewellery is amongst the most remarkable cities of the world. The afternoon sightseeing tour starts from Agra Fort, a fort that represents the architecture in the periods of the three great Mughal Emperors. After the Agra Fort, you visit Taj Mahal - the most perfect architectural monument in the world, erected by Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Begun in 1632, completion of the white marble edifice required the work of 20,000 men for 21 years. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 12 : Agra - Sikandra - Delhi (203 kms.)
Morning proceed by road to Delhi. Enroute visit Sikandra, situated across the Yamuna, about 4 km away, which houses the tomb of Emperor Akbar. Continue drive to Delhi. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 13 : Delhi
Morning combine city tour of Old and New Delhi. In your city tour you will explore the Red Fort with its pearl mosque and exquisite audience halls. See Jama Masjid mosque with its marble domes and splendor minarets, Raj Ghat (where Gandhi was cremated). New Delhi, a city designed and built by the British in the 1920s. It is a city of wide boulevards, impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. You will visit the Emperor Humayun's Tomb.
Evening you will be transferred to Delhi airport to connect flight to your hometown.
